C. Diff. Treatment with Iodine

Sadly, I have c.diff and have tried many treatments and methods to eradicate this awful bacteria (super bug) from my intestines. Flagyl worked once, but doesn't work anymore. I'm allergic to vancomycin.

I read that lugol's iodine kills c.diff bacteria and the spores it produces to protect itself from being killed. Do you know if this is true? I don't want to take it and make things worse.
